This is my tribute to, Jean-Léon Gérôme (1824-1904)
The Bacchante is my favorite painting of his, so I had to draw her. I had tried many 9x12 versions of this, but it would seem this mini turned out the best. I traded it as an Artist trading card, and it's now in the collection of my friend Avis. as apart of the mini masters swap. I almost hated to let it go.
The Dimensions are 2.5x3.5 inches. This was drawn on grey toned charcoal paper with charcoal pencil, and white pastel.
Like I said on the Nevermore board, this looks awesome. I've never been a big fan of charcoal, but you make it work

The charcoal pencils are real hard to sharpen and work with, but the natural vine is my favorite. It's like drawing with velvet. It's just that it's harder to control the vine on this small format.
